Novodiax is growing and our R&D Department is currently in expanding and looking for an R&D Scientist.

Job Description:

Novodiax is an In-Vitro Diagnostics company and plans to expand the business.     We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented PhD level Scientist with expertise in immunology, molecular biology to join a fast-paced working environment. He or she will work closely with discovery scientists to investigate exploratory biomarkers based on target pathway biology and preclinical models, and translate findings into clinical assays. 

The primary focus of this position will be to understand target biology, explore new technologies, and develop and optimize immune assays for use with biological samples (serum, tissue, PBMC). The individual will also be responsible to develop antibodies against tumor biomarkers, including mouse monoclonal antibody, rabbit polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies. The individual will also work with other scientists to generate recombinant antibodies in mammalian cell and yeast systems.

Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Immunology or molecular biology with a minimum of 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience. Experience in working with human biological samples is preferred.
  • Must have hands-on experience in tissue culture and standard immune assays as well as molecular biology techniques including ELISA, Western blot, electrophoresis, etc. 
  • Experience in development of recombinant monoclonal antibodies is preferred.
  • Experience in gene expression in yeast system is a plus.
  • Working effectively in cross-functional team, the ability to multi-task on different projects, and efficient time management skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to keep documentation and regularly summarize data to present results to team members.

The Job:
We have an opportunity for a talented and highly motivated Senior Manufacturing Associate/Manufacturing Associate to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for daily manufacturing work in compliance with cGMP and ISO 13485 practices. The work will include reagent formulation, antibody purification and conjugation, reagent aliquoting, labeling and packaging, quality control testing using immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA, gel filtration chromatography.

The Job:
Novodiax is looking for a strong Vice President who will advance our business in tissue-based diagnostics and immunoassays to meet our financial goal. As a Vice President of Sales and Marketing, you are the figure head for new business generation, Channel sales relationships, and consultative client management that drives top line revenue and gross profits by maintaining professional relationships, hiring, training, and developing new Account Executive talent worldwide. This role will be based at Hayward, California and directly reporting to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage sales force to drive qualified leads, appointments, event registrations and campaign support
  • Consistent above 100% of quota achievement
  • MUST have hands-on experience in driving projects from beginning to end according to established timelines
  • Develop Territorial Business Plan to achieve sales goals inclusive of influencing territorial luminaries via new products/applications positioning.
  • Develop and maintain adequate short/long term sales pipeline to consistently generate profitable revenue.
  • Achieve revenue goals by growing existing customer base and converting competitive accounts.
  • Work strategically with Marketing and Product Management to build growth business plans around Strategic Accounts.
  • Build team relationships with other Sales, Service, and Technical Support Associates to maximize sales revenues while promoting opportunities, harmony, and territorial management.
  • Ability to work with the consulting team to close complex security opportunities at the C-Level
  • Partner with key vendor representatives to identify opportunities
  • Works with Novodiax’s Marketing, Sales and Partner organizations to set and execute strategy
  • Help identify and execute on client acquisition and cross-sell/upsell marketing campaigns and sales plays

  • Track, measure, and analyze all sales activity, leads, pipeline and revenue attribution
  • 30% travel time


Desired Skills and Experience:

Leadership skills, deep technical background, and negotiation skills, specifically, the applicant should have:

  • 10 years' selling experience with 4+ years' work experience in Technology sales
  • Strong technical background in oncology, immunology, and IVD
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Life Science discipline, MBA and PhD preferred
  • Knowledgeable across a wide range of technical disciplines like Regulatory Compliance
  • Knowledgeable about vendor offerings in the IVD industry
  • Communicate effectively (written and verbal) across business and technical boundaries
  • Work independently without detailed guidance
  • Punctual, Presentable, Personable, and Professional
  • Relationship focused, with "Hunter" mentality
  • Well networked with peers and colleagues


Desired Experience:

  • Working knowledge of IVD and life science sales model
  • Formal sales training (Miller-Heiman, Sandler, Solution Selling etc.) and proven proficiency in implementing sales tactics
